The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative released Aug. 20 a joint statement from the countries negotiating the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement following the most recent round of talks last week in Washington, D.C. According to the statement, participants during this round “advanced their discussions in all sections of the agreement,” including general obligations, civil enforcement, border measures, criminal enforcement, enforcement measures in the digital environment, international cooperation, enforcement practices, institutional arrangements and final provisions.
