The European Union, the United States, and Latin American, African and Caribbean nations are expected to initial a deal on Tuesday ending a decades-old trade dispute over bananas, European officials said. The pact will end the longest-running trade dispute and remove a potential obstacle to a new deal to open global commerce in the World Trade Organization’s eight-year-old Doha round.
